On Notice Blogger, AOL, and Picanta: Your Support for Pictures in Blogs Sucks

OK. I was up for another try here at posting pics. Blogger has been a sluggard at this, pretending to offer features and friendliness and in the past (at least on the seven or so prior occasions when I tried) being about as accountable in following through as the admin in DC is. Possibly my similarly customer-support-is-not-us service provider AOL is partly to blame. But it seems unconscionable that both of these orgs would pretend to be offering a service that neither actually seems to be willing to support.

My few recent pic-posts have been done through Picasa, which is yet another independent (well, used to be - hard not to be suspicious in these days of megalopolies) service and hence not something I wanted to get into. While I have had somewhat better luck with Picasa, the fact that their seeming obliviousness to the concept that multiple pics and freedom to locate them might be of interest is a strong signal.

So for now I will settle for documenting my personal experience with the mediocre picture support offered by Blogger, AOL, and Picanta.
